BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT:

• Project - The project has been sanctioned in the year 2006-2007. Land acquisition has been in process since then and finally completed recently. This project has cost sharing with Uttarakhand State on 50:50 basis. This project falls in two states, Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Uttarakhand (UK). out of total length of 27.45 Kms of this project, 17.13 Kms falls in UP and 10.32 Kms falls in UK. There are 45 villages in UP and 9 villages in UK state consisting in the project length which would be benefitted. Land acquisition of project started in the 2008. Total land acquired in Uttar Pradhesh is 90.88 Hectares and in Uttarakhand is 78.72 Hectares with a total of 169.60 Hectares.
